RustConf is here again and will take place on August 5.

Since 2016, Skylight has held the RustConf annually, in collaboration with companies like Parity and Google.

The last Rust Conference was held on September 14, 2021, which was hosted by Sage Griffin and featured speakers like Mara Bos, Niko Matsakis, and Nell Shamrell Harrington.

And now, RustConf 2022 is here, featuring dozens of talented engineers in the Rust ecosystem.

RustConf 2022 will take place both physically (in Portland) and virtually.

Location

RustConf 2022 will be hosted at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.

The conference will be streaming from 9:30 am to 5:40 pm (UTC + 7). This streaming will include speakers who’re physically present, as well as those in remote locations.

RustConf will also help process visa invitations for non-US attendees.

COVID-19 policies

Full vaccination is required for all event participants. This depends on the schedules and definitions in different regions.

Also, booster doses are required for US residents, but may not be required for other regions (although it’s encouraged).

About RustConf

RustConf is a conference where some of the brightest minds in the Rust ecosystem meet to share ideas, give talks on awesome topics, and network with other minds.

The first debut of RustConf was in 2016. Since then, RustConf has been held annually in Portland (and virtually).

RustConf has been an avenue for learning and sharing among Rust developers. As a result, it’s often an anticipated event among rust communities globally.

About Rust

Rust is a security-first, general-purpose, and multi-paradigm programming language. Rust prides itself on high performance, type safety, and concurrency.

Because of the strict rules that Rust enforces, it has become a “first choice” among many developers.

As a result, some of the top projects in the blockchain space have been built with Rust. These include Parity’s Development Kit (Substrate), Polkadot/Kusama (including their Parachains), NEAR, Solana, and more.
