peaq network has announced that it has recently joined the substrate builders program by Parity, the blockchain company behind polkadot. The Substrate Builders Program will directly support peaq Network by connecting it with Parity’s extensive resources and allowing it to reach its full potential.
For peaq, this partnership secures the opportunity to tap into Parity’s trove of expertise on all aspects of blockchain development while also receiving Parity’s support in community engagement and project management. The Substrate Builders Program will bolster peaq’s efforts to expand its partner and developer community while attracting new users and innovators.
Parity will be monitoring peaq’s progress in three-month sprints against a range of specific milestones that the project is expected to attain. The first milestone is already officially successfully achieved, with the network implementing a variety of features and applications, including support for Ink! and Ethereum Virtual Machine smart contracts, role-based access function for machines, and peaq Scan, the first Substrate-based open-source blockchain explorer for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem.
Substrate Builder’s Program
This is a program by parity that directly supports up and coming projects built on substrate with Parity’s extensive resources. The Program identifies, supports, and mentors current and potential Substrate-related projects. If you’re a visionary builder who is considering or already developing a project in the Substrate ecosystem, the program is for you.
The program is divided into three tracks
Chains Track
Those that are building impactful chains. (independent chains, parachains, and parathreads)
Infrastructure Track
Those that are building Substrate/Polkadot-related infrastructure. (Including bridges, UIs, tooling, smart contract support, validator infrastructure, and potentially more)
Application Track
Those that are building applications on top of Substrate-based chains. (Including areas like DeFi, governance, identity, and anything that hasn’t been possible before without the benefits of the interoperable ecosystem.)
