Last week was fascinating, we glanced at various angles in the ecosystem to fetch valuable news that will definitely transform the status quo. Here is the recap of the major stories.
Governance
- Proposal To Upgrade the Quartz Parachain Runtime Has Passed council vote. This will allow the canary cousin of Unique Network to continue producing blocks. Explore more here
- Manta Network’s proposal to develop OpenZL passed council vote. Last week we reported on the submission of the proposal. We can’t wait to see OpenZL implementation. Read the full news here
Partnerships and integrations
- Web3games partners with Subquery, leveraging its dataset to realize the true transformation and decentralization of traditional games. Now game developers can distribute and seamlessly access blockchain assets such as NFTs and gaming tokens. Full news here
- We brought you the exciting news of Moonbeam’s integration of Axelar’s cross-chain communication. Just a few minutes after the integration, Moonbeam was able to cross over DOT into Cosmos via Osmosis; the leading decentralised exchange on Cosmos. This makes DOT the first token to cross between ecosystems. One cannot quantify the effect of this massive breakthrough; two of the giant layer 0 interoperability blockchains are now interoperable to some degree. This Axelar-facilitated connection is a significant step in establishing cross-chain composability outside of the Dotsama ecosystem & bringing unified liquidity & user experiences to web3. In the future, Moonbeam looks forward to serving as a gateway for Substrate-based tokens from other chains to access the Cosmos ecosystem through Osmosis. Full news here

- Astar integrated Leonicorn DEX aggregator, this comes shortly after integrating Zenlink which is a cross-chain DEX on the Polkadot ecosystem. In the physical world, this will only be equivalent to atlantic-pacific merger. Full news here
